Congratulations, dear Marc!
Lights on in the reactor!

We are delighted to congratulate our colleague Marc Tackmann on the successful defence of his Master's thesis. In his thesis entitled ‘Reaction and Reactor Optimisation of Light-Induced Cross-Couplings in Continuous Flow’, he placed a special focus on photochemical reactions in flow systems – a challenging and highly topical field of research.
The core of his work was the development of his own photoreactors, which Marc designed, optimised and further developed step by step. With each new version, he moved closer to an increasingly efficient reactor design. This combination of technical understanding, enthusiasm for experimentation and systematic further development was not only exciting to follow, but also extremely impressive from a technical point of view.
We are therefore all the more delighted that Marc will be starting his PhD with us after completing his master's thesis and that he (and his delicious cakes) will remain at IBOC. We are excited about his upcoming projects and are very happy to have him continue as part of the team.
Congratulations, Marc, and we wish you a great start to your PhD!
