On 17 April, Tim Moritz Weber completed his PhD with the thesis titled “Total Synthesis of Clickable Natural Product Derivatives and Manufacturing of Conjugates for Target-Specific Application of Potential Drugs”, graduating summa cum laude. We would like to offer him our warmest congratulations! Many colleagues were there to congratulate him on this fantastic achievement and to listen to his presentation.
Moritz is a true all-rounder who felt equally at home in the fields of synthetic chemistry and molecular biology. With great dedication – often working late into the evening – he worked on his projects, critically scrutinised results and methods, and was always on hand to help his colleagues. Among other things, he mentored Alexandra Leyens as a trainee and was also actively involved in that role. He created a unique working atmosphere in the lab with classical and film music and was always up for a bit of fun.
Dear Moritz, we wish you all the best for your future!
