This week we are more than happy about just the next paper. Christina Albrecht and Andreas Klein were able to publish their exciting work on the synthesis of 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisiquinolines in catalysts. In their article, they report on the merging of a Laccase/TEMPO oxidation and a Pictet-Spengler reaction. Thus, they established a one-pot procedure in phosphate buffer that allowed access to 12 different 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisiquinolines very easily and with high yields.
