Last week, we said goodbye to our trainee Philip Lencer. He had been part of our institute since November 2022. During his training as a chemical laboratory assistant, he worked closely with Sebastian Myllek and supported him in developing methods for the synthesis of axial-chiral carbazoles.
He integrated very quickly into the laboratory and soon became an integral part of the group. With his curiosity, his interest in the background and his willingness to think questions through, he was committed to his daily laboratory work. At the same time, his open manner always ensured a good atmosphere in the team.
After successfully completing his training, Philip is now beginning a bachelor's degree in agricultural sciences in Bonn. We wish him all the best and every success in this new phase of his life and are excited to see where his path will take him. We will all miss him.
