Today we have every reason to celebrate - of course by far, but not with less joy. Hannah Braß and Patrick Marx took off their respective rigorosa on October 8, 2020. Hannah has been a major driving force in our research on the bio-, muta- and semi-synthetic production of prodigiosin derivatives, which has resulted in numerous publications and even a patent. Patrick did research on phenylpropanoid derivatives in cooperation with the group of Jan Marienhagen and colleagues from the Institute of Biochemistry and Physiology of Microorganisms "G. K. Scriabin" in Pushchino (RU). We congratulate you both on passing the exam and wish you all the best. As soon as more relaxed times come, we must make up for an extensive celebration.
