Last week, our colleagues Viktoria Warth, Dominik Badermann, Cornelius Pawlowsky and Marcel Schatton took part in the Orchem 2024 conference in Regensburg. The event, organised by the German Chemical Society (GdCh) and the Liebig Society, attracted numerous speakers and participants from all over Germany.
Cornelius and Marcel each presented a poster at the conference. For Viktoria and Dominik, it was their first conference experience, with Dominik particularly interested in the presentation by Prof Joanna Wencel-Delord from the Institute of Organic Chemistry at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg.
In addition to the academic insights, the conference was also a great opportunity to catch up with many familiar faces, including our former colleague Till Drennhaus.
A highlight for Marcel was receiving the poster award, sponsored by Thieme.
Our team's participation in Orchem 2024 not only enabled us to present our current research, but also showed once again how important networks and academic exchange are for scientific progress.
Congratulations and many thanks to all participants from the IBOC, especially to Marcel for his well-deserved recognition.
