We are pleased to announce that Catharina Gronkowski has been awarded the prize of the Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (GBM) for the best master thesis in 2024 at Heinrich Heine University (HHU). Her outstanding research entitled “Studies on enzymatic tryptophan halogenation - a regioselective synthesis toolbox” has received great recognition. Congratulations, Cathi! We are very proud of your achievement and thank the GBM for generously providing this award. After her Master's thesis, Cathi has remained loyal to the IBOC and enriches the Secondary Metabolism Enzymology team with her research.
