The hybrid semester is ready to go

Lecture in green screen.

The name tags stick to the seats, the disinfectant dispensers are filled and the webcams are focussed.

Social distancing is important to contain the pandemic and to let the second wave die down, but teaching and research live from the interaction. Therefore, the bachelor internship 'Enzyme Technology I' is carried out as a hybrid module. We will work on important manual skills with the students in the laboratory, for other formats such as lectures, exercises and seminars we have chosen the virtual room - preferably in sub-groups, so that the individual student becomes the centre of attention. Virtual does not mean anonymous.

One thing is already clear: together with our colleagues from the IMET, we have seen the crisis as an opportunity and have worked hard on our concepts. We hope that they will also be a success. In any case, we are looking forward to a great cooperation - with the students and the colleagues from IMET - and an insightful module.
