Recently, our colleague Patrick Ullrich was able to publish his excellent results on the allylation of cyclic aldimines and ketimines in the European Journal of Organic Chemistry. For this he used easily accessible allyl boronates in a one-pot approach. All four homoallylic amines of the corresponding in situ formed N-unsubstituted imine could be selectively prepared. The publication entitled "Enantioselective Allylation of Cyclic and in situ Formed N-Unsubstituted Imines with Tetraol-Protected Allylboronates" is available online.
