Also this week we were happy to welcome a new member to the institute. Benjamin Panagiotis Chapple, after studying biochemistry in Cologne and Düsseldorf, is now with us for his master's thesis and will work with Pascal Schneider and Diana Amariei.
He will work on enzymes that can be used for the late-stage modification of natural products. Such modifications are also used in nature, and we want to do the same with nature here, in order to gain access to natural product congeners.
