The conference season is in full swing and two of our colleagues have already been on the road attending conferences in recent weeks.
Lea Hoppe attended the BOSS XVIII - 18th Belgian Organic Synthesis Symposium in Liège, which took place from 30 June to 5 July. She presented a poster entitled ‘Flow Synthesis of Physostigmine and Physovenine Precursors’, which was very well received by the other participants. She was particularly impressed by the lecture by Prof. Timothy Noël from the University of Amsterdam, which was a highlight of the extensive lecture programme. The pleasant atmosphere and the lively dialogue with colleagues from all over the world will remain a lasting memory for her.
Nina Stadler took part in the ICNPR - International Congress on Natural Products Research in Krakow from 13 to 17 July. The conference took place in the ICE Congress Centre with a view of the impressive Wawel Castle. In the extensive poster session, in which more than 900 posters were presented, Nina presented her poster entitled ‘Beyond the Tuber: Crafting High-Value Molecules from Potato Residues’. In addition to the inspiring lecture programme, Nina was particularly impressed by the excellent and inclusive organisation of the conference and the city of Krakow as a venue.
Lea and Nina, we are very happy about your positive experiences and thank you very much for the excellent representation of our institute.
