Last week, we had to say goodbye to Jacqueline Kühnel, who is taking a new path after her successful time at our institute. Jacky started her apprenticeship with Ruth Ganardi, where she worked intensively with biaryl chemistry. After completing her apprenticeship, she joined Lea Hoppe.
With Lea, Jacky learnt about a new field of research, flow chemistry. She also dedicated her bachelor's thesis to this exciting topic. Jacky was a great help at the institute and became so familiar with the field of flow chemistry that Lea assigned her many tasks and could always rely on her work.
Jacky was not only an excellent scientific assistant, but also an enrichment for the institute on a personal level. She integrated perfectly into the laboratory team and was always helpful and likeable. Joint Harry Potter evenings, drink tastings and pub quizzes will be very memorable for everyone involved.
We would like to thank Jacky for her great work and wish her all the best for the future. So long, Jacky, and good luck with all your future adventures!
